You are an Energy Magnet...

What if the people, ideas and opportunities finding you are not coincidences?

Have you ever wanted something so clearly that the world suddenly seemed to start responding?

You mention an idea, and someone connects you to exactly the person you need to meet. You begin thinking about a new direction, and an unexpected opportunity appears. You hear the same message from three completely different people in the span of a week.

We often call these moments coincidences.

I am not sure they always are.

I actually believe that when we become honest about what we want and begin aligning our lives around it, our energy changes. We notice possibilities we might have missed before.

We talk about our dreams differently. We become more open to people, ideas and opportunities that connect with where we want to go.

In Bring Your Big Energy, I call this becoming an Energy Magnet.

What Is an Energy Magnet?

Being an Energy Magnet does not mean being the loudest, most charismatic or most impressive person in the room.

It also does not mean sitting at home, visualizing what you want and expecting the universe to do all the work.

An Energy Magnet is someone whose values, vision, words and actions are aligned.

You know what matters to you. You are willing to name what you want. You communicate what you bring to the table and remain open to the people and possibilities appearing around you.

That alignment creates a different kind of energy.

Other people can feel it. They understand what you care about. They know how they might support, connect or collaborate with you.

The universe also has something clear to respond to.

Follow What Keeps Pulling You

On this week’s episode of the Bring Your Big Energy podcast, Amy Sanders shared a story about becoming fascinated with a particular house.

At the time, the numbers did not make sense. Like really did not make sense - she was in a time of transition and rebuilding her life. She could not clearly see how the house could ever become part of her life, but she could not stop thinking about it. She knew it needed to happen for her.

Instead of dismissing that feeling, she followed it. She climbed onto a fence admiring its beauty, she dreamed about it with her partner, she talked the dream into a reality so much that pictures of it made their way into her engagement photo album -  as a reminder of what they would build together.

Years later, seemingly by coincidence that could not be ignored, Amy drove past the house again. She drew up her courage, knocked on the door, and asked the owner to connect her with the builder.

That pull back to that magical place, and that bravery to boldly call it into existence in the end brought her the home of her dreams. She eventually built her own version of it and still lives in gratitude that she lives there every day!.

Amy described that pull as a “whole-body yes.” Something inside her kept saying, Pay attention to this.

She did not begin with a perfect plan. She began with curiosity and enough self-trust to explore what was calling her forward.

That is an Energy Magnet.

Amy was not forcing a specific outcome. She was paying attention, staying open and participating in what was unfolding.

The Universe Cannot Respond to What You Refuse to Name

Many of us have become incredibly skilled at talking ourselves out of what we want.

We immediately begin listing the reasons it is impractical, irresponsible or unrealistic. We minimize the dream before anyone else has the opportunity to question it.

Sometimes we are so afraid of being disappointed that we pretend we do not want the thing at all.

We say:

  • It would be nice, but it probably will not happen.

  • I am only thinking about it.

  • It is not that important.

  • I should just be grateful for what I already have.

Gratitude matters, but gratitude and desire can exist together.

You can appreciate your current life and still feel pulled toward something more, different or new. Wanting something does not mean you are ungrateful. It may mean you are growing.

The universe cannot respond to a dream you are unwilling to name.

The people around you cannot help, connect or champion you if they have no idea what you want.

The first step toward becoming an Energy Magnet may simply be telling yourself the truth.

Put Your Vision Into the Universe

In the Purpose chapter of Bring Your Big Energy, I discuss visualization, vision boards, manifestation and the law of attraction.

When you call your shot, your thoughts and beliefs begin influencing the outcomes you are seeking.

Creating a vision does not guarantee that everything will happen exactly as you pictured it. Life rarely works that way.

What it does is direct your attention and energy.

Once you become clear about what you want, you begin recognizing the people, information and opportunities connected to it. You make choices through a different lens.

You start noticing what moves you closer and what continues pulling you away.

The vision gives your energy somewhere to go.

Then the universe often responds in ways you never could have planned.

Self-Trust Changes What You Can Receive

Amy said something during our conversation that made me really reflect:

“I think I had five hundred turning points.”

Her life did not change because of one enormous decision. It changed through hundreds of smaller moments when she began asking herself what she wanted and trusting the answer.

One of those moments was as simple as choosing what she wanted to cook for dinner.

After years of organizing her choices around everyone else, that small decision mattered. It became evidence that her needs, preferences and desires deserved a place in her own life.

Amy said, “Self-trust is the name of the game.”

Self-trust does not mean believing you will never make a mistake. It means trusting that you can make a decision, learn from the outcome and continue moving forward.

That trust makes you more willing to follow an idea before you understand exactly where it will lead. It helps you recognize an opportunity without immediately explaining why it could never work.

The more you trust yourself, the more available you become for what is trying to find you.

Help Opportunities Find You

In the Kinetic Energy chapter of Bring Your Big Energy, I discuss how clearly articulating who you are, what you stand for and what you want can magnetize energy for opportunities that align with your goals.

People need something real to connect to.

They cannot recommend you for the stage if they do not know you want to speak.

They cannot introduce you to a potential client if they do not understand what you are building.

They cannot connect you to a new career path if you continue pretending you are completely satisfied with the one you have.

Becoming an Energy Magnet requires us to communicate.

It means saying:

  • “This is what I care about.”

  • “This is what I bring.”

  • “This is what I am working toward.”

  • “This is the kind of opportunity I would love to explore.”

That is not chasing or forcing. It is making yourself visible and available for alignment.

Your Energy Magnet Exercise

Give yourself ten quiet minutes and answer these questions:

1. What do I genuinely want right now?

Try to answer before you begin explaining why it might not happen.

2. What keeps pulling at my attention?

Consider the ideas, conversations, people or possibilities you repeatedly return to.

3. What “coincidences” have appeared recently?

What introductions, invitations, messages or opportunities seem connected to what you want?

4. What energy am I putting into the world?

Are your words and actions communicating clarity, possibility and openness, or are they communicating fear and disbelief?

5. How can I make myself available for what I want?

Choose one small action you can take within the next 72 hours.

Share the idea. Make the call. Ask for the introduction. Accept the invitation. Create space on your calendar.

You are not committing to the entire path. You are showing yourself, the people around you and the universe that you are ready to explore it.

Become the Energy Magnet You Are Called to Be

The universe does not always send a flashing sign telling us exactly what to do.

Sometimes it sends a conversation or an idea that refuses to leave.

Sometimes it sends a person who opens a door, asks the right question or reminds us of something we have forgotten about ourselves.

Our job is not to explain every meaningful moment away.

Our job is to notice, get curious, trust ourselves and remain open.

When you become clear about what you want and begin aligning your energy around it, the right people can recognize what you are building. Opportunities have somewhere to land.

Possibilities that once felt invisible begin appearing everywhere.

Maybe they are coincidences.

Or maybe you are becoming the Energy Magnet you were always called to be.
